Pittsburgh is known for its vast, diverse offering of incredible restaurants throughout the metropolitan area. You can find everything from traditional Italian food to vegan donuts! With all of these incredible offerings, it can be difficult to find restaurants that will satisfy both your stomach and your diet. Worry not, AMD3 has prepared a list of some of our favorite healthy restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the Pittsburgh area. Don’t be afraid to try something new!

#1: First Watch

First Watch calls themselves “The Daytime Cafe”, a name that suits them well. With locations in Cranberry, Murrysville, McCandless, Bridgeville, Settlers Ridge, and Pleasant Hills, this quaint chain of cafes is growing quickly. Their most prominent trait is freshness, and they pride themselves on beginning each day chopping fruits and vegetables, baking muffins, and whipping up batter. Every visit comes with complimentary newspapers and Wi-Fi for your convenience, and the menu offerings will surprise you. #2: Roots Natural Kitchen

The silver lining of Roots Natural Kitchen is in the name for a reason. Their primary focus is on taking ingredients directly from the offerings of nature. The culture is all about the benefits of eating natural food, including vegetables, seeds, and several forms of protein. The menu is very flexible, and you can combine any of their delicious, natural ingredients in any fashion you choose. The Roots Natural Kitchen location in Pittsburgh is in the heart of Oakland. #3: Honeygrow

Located in East Liberty, Honeygrow is known for their filling, energy-boosting meals. Specializing in salads and stir fry, Honeygrow has a vast menu that is sure to have a meal to quench your hunger. They also have a goals menu, that is designed for those on specific diets. This vast menu includes Paleo-friendly, Keto-friendly, Whole-friendly, High Protein, Vegan + Vegetarian offerings.
